Morata had a chance to score from the penalty spot in the 54th minute but unfortunately shot the ball over the bar, before making amends about ten minutes later to lead his team to a 3-0 victory over Serbia in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday.
The AC Milan striker has revealed that he spent his childhood in Cordoba, so the roaring crowd at the Estadio Nuevo Arcanquel helped him make up for his missed penalty.
“There was a huge cheer and a show of love from the fans here for me that really gave me the push to seize the opportunity and win.”
“Okay, I missed the penalty, but with the help of the fans, I finally scored.”
“I’m excited that we won and scored three goals. I’m especially happy for Baena, who deserve everything. This team has an incredible future ahead of them,” Morata said.
Spain have been dominant in Cordoba สมัคร ufabet, although they were unable to add to Laporte’s early goal until Morata struck the back of the net. That should be enough to kill off Serbia’s chances of picking up an unlikely result, although Luis de la Fuente’s side should not be complacent in these upcoming final minutes.
