Napoli confirms Mexico forward Irving Lozano has tested positive for coronavirus while at home.
Lozano returned to Mexico for Christmas. Before being test and the result came out positive. The subject has been vaccinat and does not have any symptoms.
The Jango, who has made 26 appearances this season, scored 3 goals. He will have to stay at home until he tests negative before he can fly back to Italy.
Napoli have previously had two players tested positive for coronavirus, Spanish midfielder Fabian Ruiz and veteran attacker Lorenzo Insigne.
Napoli will play their next match in the big game against Juventus on January 6 next year.
Lozano, who is asymptomatic and has been vaccinated, must return a negative test before he is cleared to fly back to Italy.
It is a further blow for Luciano Spalletti’s side. As Lorenzo Insigne and Fabian Ruiz have also tested positive for coronavirus over the past seven days.
Napoli schedule to face Juventus at the Allianz Stadium on January 6 in a battle between the sides third and fifth in Serie A.
